LA Times Mention
Would never have known this if someone hadn't pointed it out. Apparently we were mentioned in a list of food writers in the LA Times. Can't really decide if this is complimentary or not...
gastrologica.com By two guys, self-described as a gourmand and a chef. Strong though sometimes voluminous writing, with lots of pictures and a podcast.
There you go. Voluminous? Is that a long word for verbose?

The LA Times circulation is more than 1 million, so although the newspaper is as antiquated as the horse & buggy, it's still good publicity.

Voluminous. Sounds like an adjective used in a hair conditioner commercial.

FM - I won't repeat Oscar Wilde, you summed up up nicely.
Anon - Yes.
Acme - What up my man? I know I'm wordy, but I'll take it if I can get it. How's bidnezz?
Anon - You really get around. "this" is a pronoun. Does that clear it up for you?

steve -- I'm jonesing for some gastro-casts here.
I know real life gets in the way, but have you considered some show production alternatives, like you and Dan (and maybe another quest every so often) getting on Skype once a week and only doing the live shows as you're able?
Just a thought from a fan (if you couldn't tell by my previous commenting)

Guys, I honestly wish I could tell you. We plan and plan, but at the end of the day, schedules and logistics and physical miles find us not recording or even being within 50 miles of each other.
I've been looking into a Skype alternative or some other real-time duplex recording method. My fear is it wouldn't capture the spontaneous nature of us both in the same room, cracking up and drinking.
So, I guess this is another lame excuse to why there's no new shows. I hesitate to say 'we are on indefinite hiatus' as that sort of sounds like a death knell, and its not true. We intend on continuing the show, we just have to figure out a way it can work on a regular basis.
We appreciate your continued support, especially since I've even neglected to write anything on this site here, except for this comment.

Screw the podcasts - get all the Gastro-fans on skype every couple of weeks and we can all drink and talk about food.
Actually I miss the podcasts too...
